"Fort Kent, Maine. (vicinity). Albert Gagnon’s daughters knitting.  August 1942  Farm Security Administration – Office of War Information Photograph Collection (Library of Congress)"

Another photograph from the American Memory Collection at the Library of Congress, and a nice bit of summer nostalgia.

Very cool photo. And I thought you and the other PBSJ KAL folks would like to know that the yarn I ordered on 2/14 arrived a few days ago. Imagine!

Very nice photo. I am not familiar with the American Memory Collection (being in Europe) so I followed your link and did a search on ‘knitting’. Some really lovely photos there. What a treasure trove!
It made me wonder how often we modern day knitters get photographed in the act. It would be such a nice image to pass on. Bloggers are very good at photographing the F.O. but how about some ‘action shots’.
I always enjoy your posts on reading and art. Thank you.
