Here are two Interweave Knits projects — in this month’s "Project Spectrum" colors — that I’ve been happily pondering for a while —
— Véronik Avery’s Salt Peanuts and Kate Gilbert’s Sunrise Circle Jacket. Neither of which, I confess, I am interested in knitting in orange, but would look equally fantastic in a color more suited to my complexion!
I beg of you, please PLEASE don’t knit this in orange, not for yourself! You don’t need me to tell you it would look wonderful in any of the blue spectrum shades. (Although the orange would look great on Laura or Julia.) The design is nice (a tad too modern for Moi), but I prefer the first one…and that soft smoky orange might work for you. It would be heavenly in lavender or pale smoky green or grey, but that’s so cowardly of me to suggest, isn’t it? when we know they always look great on you. Hee. I don’t think the first design would work in a darker, heavier color…it would ‘hang’ too much, drag down, you know.

I earmarked those two designs as well. I did want to see someone else’s Sunrise Jacket first – just in case. Project Spectrum would be too much pressure for me and this month?: Orange make me look like death on a cracker.
